This little cottage was absolutely charming and had a rustic feel. The surrounding land and garden were stunning, and my daughters and puppy had a great time exploring. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They even brought over toys and a slide for the kids and helped us fill our paddling pool. The beds were comfy and the cottage was fully equipped for a self-catering stay. The location was perfect - beautiful countryside with breathtaking views, yet still close to Edinburgh. The tram was cheap and easy to use, and we had free parking at Ingliston. The large and secure garden was a bonus for my dog, and the tennis court was a pleasant surprise for the kids. it was a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Felt completely relaxed, no reason to complain.

The value for money was fantastic, with a cosy and spacious cottage that had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with beautiful countryside views and easy access to Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The only thing that could make breakfast better would be to have a wider variety of items.

The Cottage at Gorton House And Cottages was truly a home away from home. The spacious layout allowed for comfortable living, and the wood burning stove added a cozy touch. The large grounds and garden area were perfect for both children and pets. We received a warm welcome from Sally, and the groundsman was extremely helpful in directing us to the logs for the stove. Highly recommended.

Our weekend at Gorton House was absolutely brilliant! We had a wonderful time with our family, enjoying the fantastic facilities and spaces that the property had to offer. It was the perfect accommodation for a weekend getaway. Sally, the owner, was incredibly helpful and responsive, providing quick and informative answers to our questions. Despite there not being any staff members on site, we still felt warmly welcomed and the provided information on how to get the keys and the welcome pack were fantastic. the location was also ideal, with beautiful views and a short drive to a supermarket and nearby towns/villages. the property truly offered something for everyone, with cozy nooks, a lovely deck, a conservatory, a tennis court, and plenty of outdoor space for activities. Plus, there were great walking trails nearby. Cons: It was all superb! 😃.

Strange dog-like sounds in the walls.
